Devlog #4 – Storage Hunter Simulator

Hello Future Storage Hunters!

We’re back with another development progress update! Our team has been working tirelessly to bring this immersive storage auction experience to life.

Starting with the programming side of things, we’ve made significant strides in making our NPCs feel more alive and reactive. We’ve expanded the decision tree for NPCs, which should add depth to your interactions and strategies when trying to snap up those coveted items.

Our city’s environment has also received some love. We have created two new buildings – diner and shopping mall.

We also have new assets for our city:

Switching gears to the design side, our team has been hard at work fine-tuning multiple features. We’ve polished up inspection mode. This will help you assess the value of items, and maybe bring up their value a little higher.

Beside that, we’ve also been busy working on in-game interfaces, including tablet apps and an auction site for your desktop, to ensure you have all the tools you need at your fingertips. Furthermore, we’ve created a list of item categories, a basic NPC AI for Auctions, and a basic NPC dialogue system. All these improvements will significantly enhance your gameplay experience.

Last but not least, we’ve put in some serious time on the UI. We’re particularly excited about our work on bargaining with NPCs during yard sales. This will add a new level of strategy and complexity to your interactions and transactions in the game.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Cheers,
The Storage Hunter Team
